Best of Subversion Hackathon 2013
Subversion Hackathon Berlin, June 2013
The 2013 Subversion Hackathon in Berlin was very well received by the Subversion developer and user community.
Hackathon attendees had a highly productive time discussing a diverse range of topics such as goals for Subversion 1.9, new repository file system designs, a new branching/merging strategy for the Subversion project (see http://tinyurl.com/branching-merging-strategy), and how to attract more contributors to Subversion. For a detailed agenda see this page: http://wiki.apache.org/subversion/Berlin2013
Also, the Subversion 1.8.0 release was prepared during the hackathon, and is due very soon: http://tinyurl.com/release-subversion-1-8
The web talks and live interviews with SVN committers Stefan Sperling, C. Mike Pilato, Julian Foad, Stefan Fuhrmann, Johan Corveleyn, Bert Huijben, Neels J. Hofmeyr, Ben Reser and Branko Čibej were all recorded and are now available for free download (see below).
